ABOUT US
Dean and Ruth Remmers have worked together in ministry almost 35 years. They began in a small community in deep South Texas working under a woman pastor, who was full of faith and flowed in all the Gifts of the Spirit. Pastor Lona Perkins, or “Aunt Midge” as her congregants affectionately called her, told the newlyweds that by the time they finished their training, they would be well-equipped to minister anywhere.
The Remmers worked alongside “Aunt Midge” and “Uncle Ivan” starting with the children’s church and bus ministry. They began to find their stride as they were entrusted with a growing Youth Group. Dean was also given the opportunity to preach in the local jails. It wasn’t long before Pastor Perkins had him preaching on a regular basis on Sunday nights and had Ruth teaching the Adult Sunday School Class. They made home and hospital calls with their Pastor and assisted her in praying for people at the Thursday night Home Ministry Meetings. After a decade of labor, their Pastor’s words rang true: Dean and Ruth were well equipped to carry the Gospel to the world.
Besides working with the Perkins, the Remmers received a richness of the Word of God and witnessed powerful moves

of the Holy Spirit through the ministries of Kenneth Copeland and Kenneth E. Hagin. They have worked alongside other Ministers, evangelized, and pastored churches since 1982.
Dean is a graduate of Rhema Bible Training College (aka Kenneth Hagin Ministries) and Ruth is a graduate of Southwestern Assemblies of God University. They have three grown children:
Their older son and his wife (whom the Remmers count as a daughter) are Missionaries to the nations of the world. Jonathan is a Rhema grad and Nicky is a Registered Nurse and a graduate of Power and Light Gospel Bible College. Their younger son, David, is a graduate of Oral Roberts University and plans to attend Rhema this Fall. He recently returned from a month-long Missions trip to Uganda, Africa where he filmed a promotional video for ORU and discovered that he loves to preach!
