Is Your Loved One in Heaven?

Perhaps you have a Loved One who has moved to Heaven recently. Let me share a few thoughts about leaving this earth and going to Heaven:

First, you are made of three parts: Your spirit, your soul (mind, will and emotions), and your body. Your spirit is designed by the Father to live eternally. When a Christian or Believer gets ready to leave this world, they throw off their body like an old coat, but their spirit goes to be with Jesus.

MY GLIMPSE of HEAVEN ...

I loved my maternal grandmother – “Mama” we called her. She seemed to understand me as a teenager more than anyone in the world and loved me unconditionally. When she left us for her eternal Home, I was devastated … until the night the Lord pulled His great curtain back for me.

That night the Lord allowed me to see a small piece of Heaven – and how beautiful it was! The colors were so vibrant and alive – They made earth's colors look like black and white in comparison. In fact, we’d have to speak in a brand new language to adequately describe all the glorious things that God has prepared for us.

In my night vision, I was seated on a small curved bench in the most lovely garden I’d ever seen. The flowers (I saw various kinds, but I was especially drawn to the roses) were extraordinary – velvety soft with soothing fragrances. The flowers seemed to be able to provide each visitor with the color, fragrance, and texture that would best minister to him or her. The completeness of their beauty was a peaceful healing balm.

When I arrived, Jesus was talking with another person off to my right. I knew that when they finished their visit, it would be my turn. No one told me this; it was just a knowing on the inside. That seemed to be the way of Heaven.

My teenage reasoning wanted to take full advantage of my unprecedented time with the King. I was certainly going to get answers to all my questions! I began making a mental list, starting with "Why did you take Mama (my grandmother)?" ....

Then Jesus began walking toward me. To say He was full of light would be describing something as a child would -- Yes, there was light, but that was only one aspect. His presence permeated me with a warmth more welcome than the rays of the sun. His whole being radiated perfect love that filled the emptiness of my soul. As His Glory enveloped me, all of my questions fell useless before Him. They no longer had any value. I knew that Mama was with Jesus, and nothing else mattered.

Others Have Said This About Heaven:

When Rev. Kenneth E. Hagin went to Heaven, the Lord allowed the Prayer Partner of Sis Freda Lindsay (of Christ for the Nations Institute in Dallas, Texas) to see his Homecoming Celebration. She saw what looked like a great light on the distant shore of Heaven. When she looked closer, she realized that the light was actually saints gathered to welcome Bro. Hagin home. As he crossed over, they welcomed him with much celebration. Then they parted and made room for his family members who were already there to come and greet him. Finally, they too moved aside … and there was Jesus! He took Bro. Hagin by the arm and led him on into Glory.

I also remember hearing Pastor Earl Banning of Houston, Texas, compare this crossing over to the huge clipper ships of days gone by. Pastor Banning said as these great ships would leave port, people would stand on the shore and watch them make their way out to sea and then slowly disappear over the horizon—first the deck, then the masts, and finally the crow’s nest. “There she goes!” the people would pronounce as they waved their final goodbyes. But across the ocean’s expanse, others were expectantly waiting, walking up and down the shoreline with their gaze fixed upon the horizon. As the top of the ship broke over the horizon, people would excitedly shout to one another—“Here she comes! Here she comes!” And I believe that our loved ones, who are a part of the great cloud of witnesses (Hebrews 12:1), are waiting for you and me with that same joyful expectancy. Let’s live ready!

O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory? (I Corinthians 15:55)

If Jesus came to take all the Christians Home to Heaven today, and you’re not sure you’d go, pray this prayer with faith in your heart. Mean business with God, and He’ll take care of you.

Father God, I believe you raised Jesus from the dead. Jesus, I receive You into my heart as my Lord and Saviour, and I ask You to forgive all my sin. Thank You for forgiving me, Lord … And now I am SAVED!
